Presenting the Special Needs Infant Simulator, an educational manikin designed to instruct on various procedures. These procedures include tracheostomy, gastrostomy, stoma and nasogastric care, and catheterisation.
Designed with precision, the training model is tailored to empower nursing and medical professionals in perfecting vital procedures for the well-being of these infants.
The manikin is modelled to mirror a neonate’s size and accommodates the use of a range of medical devices. These include a tracheostomy tube and suction catheter, a gastrostomy tube, a nasogastric tube, and a urethral catheter.
Facilitates training in the following procedures:
- Tracheostomy management (insertion and suction) – utilising a 3 mm side
- Gastrostomy care (flushing and feeding) – utilising a 14 FR size
- Nasogastric procedures (insertion, flushing, feeding, and suction) – utilising an 8 FR size or smaller
- Urethral catheterisation (placement, insertion, and care) – employing a 3 mm diameter
- Basic care for a colostomy stoma
Additionally, the baby manikin offers the opportunity to hone general nursing and healthcare skills. These skills include bathing, diaper changing, and a wide array of dressing adjustments.
Addressing user convenience and seamless transportation, the Special Needs Infant Simulator is supplied with a carrying bag.
