Presenting the Lumbar Spine Trainer, a high-level simulator for lumbosacral junction procedures, featuring a 3D-printed human lumbosacral junction with precise anatomical details, matching the properties of real human bone. It includes lumbar vertebrae, sacrum, ligamentum flavum, intervertebral discs, dural sac, and nerves.
Pathological conditions such as facet hypertrophy, lumbar disc herniation, and L4-L5 spondylolisthesis are represented. Surgical exercises that can be performed on this simulator include anterior lumbar discectomy, anterior interbody fusion (ALIF), laminectomy, laminotomy, foraminotomy, lateral recess decompression, arthrodesis with transpedicular screws, and posterior and transverse lateral interbody fusion (PLIF & TLIF).
This model is created at a 1:1 scale based on a real human CT scan.
