Discover the Confined Space Manikin, a manikin used for the training of casualties in confined spaces. The manikin is suitable for Fire & Rescue teams, technical rescue training providers, police teams, ambulance/EMS/HART teams, mountain rescue teams and cave rescue teams.
Various scenarios can be simulated with this manikin, including:
- Confined Spaces
- Urban Search & Rescue (USAR)
- Road Traffic Collisions (RTC)
- Mountain Rescue
- Cave Rescue
The manikin can be separated into smaller parts, making it user-friendly and easily mobilised. The detachable limbs allow easier positioning of the manikin into the desired rescue position.
To provide a realistic experience, it gives an anatomically correct weight distribution and gives the ??feel of an unconscious casualty. The soft body joints eliminate the risk associated with plastic bodied manikins, such as the risk of pinch welts and bruising.
The manikin is constructed using the same flame-retardant material which are used in Police ballistic/stab vests. This makes it durable and tough enough to withstand being buried under heavy objects or dropped from height without damage. The material is also water repellent so is suitable for wet and foul scenarios, e.g., chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defence (CBRN defence). It should be noted that it is not suited for use in temperatures above 100 degrees, flashover scenarios or in water rescue training.
The Confined Space Manikin is an essential addition for the use of all rescue training providers, giving the trainees a valuable and realistic experience.
