Introducing the CRiSis Manikin, an adult-sized manikin used for advanced life support training. This is advantageous for use in medical education during clinical skills sessions or staff training in healthcare institutions.
The manikin s realistic anatomical features, and flexible design, complete with a fully articulated head, neck, and jaw, allow for the demonstration of a variety of procedures, including:
- Oral, nasal, and digital intubation
- Manual palpation of the carotid pulse
- Lung auscultation
- Palpable and visual landmarks of the chest cavity
- CPR and chest compressions
- Manual, semiautomatic, and automatic defibrillation
- Intravenous injections with realistic flashbacks
Without adequate practice, auscultation can be challenging to master. The manikin offers users the ability to listen to the 5 phases of Korotkoff sounds, as well as the auscultatory gap. These sounds can be broadcast to the entire classroom using an external speaker.
Blood pressure can be determined through the measurement of systolic and diastolic levels, while the radial pulse can be employed to measure the heart rate. The monitor permits the simulation of real-life patient scenarios, enabling students to gain practical experience in interpreting electrocardiograms with precision.
In addition, the manikin is compatible with all standard brand types of defibrillators, airway management devices (e.g., Combitube and King Systems), monitors, and patient simulators, further enhancing the learning experience. During automatic defibrillation, the internal load box absorbs the complete force of every shock, and can withhold the recommended maximum of 360 joules.
