The VATA Freddie Fistula Skills Trainer helps medical professionals to create real-life scenarios and gain hands-on medical training experience when it comes to wound treatments and techniques. With a soft to touch abdomen that has an open abdominal wound showing exposed intestines with ??gutters ?� on all sides, a stoma and also a drainage tube this clinical skills trainer will allow for multiple procedures to be practised.
The abdominal wound area presents three actively draining separate fistulas:
- Stomatised Fistula ?? Easy to observe effluent flow
- Non-Stomatised Fistula ?? Difficult to observe when effluent is not flowing
- Hidden Fistula ?? Location is not observed
Build competency and confidence within established medical teams and student groups with this challenging wound care training model. The combination of any three fistulas can emit excrement via the colour-coded pinch clamps, creating realistic scenarios when applying dressings.
The integrated base on the Freddie Fistula ?½ Skills Trainer includes a support rod to hold the fluid bag, as well as a recessed catch tray, allowing for up to 700ml of fluid. When not in use, the fluid bag support rod can be easily stored within the integrated base.
The one-of-a-kind design of the Freddie Fistula ?½ has high-quality skin that allows standard dressings to be easily applied and removed.
