This simulator of a human buttock can be fastened like a belt on the body of a student or a training doll, or used indepently as a stand-alone trainer. The Buttockmate model by Sakamoto allows students to practice gluteus injection skill by palpation, with the ilium crista , greater trochanter and iliac spine built in.
The model facilitates the practicing of intra-muscular injections and also the injection of fluid (water) is possible. If the injected part or depth is incorrect, a buzzer, which works with a 9V battery and a red light, will give a warning sound. A green light indicates the student has used the correct injection technique.
The durable, soft and very realistic skin shows no needle marks even after many exercises.
