This life-sized Calf Simulator Model will help students to understand and address a variety of major calf issues and the importance of caring for these vulnerable cows.
Students can practice the following bovine care techniques on the calf model:

The calf simulator features pliable ears, a moveable mouth, jugular pulse and navel swelling for a realistic training experience.
In addition, the calf model also comes with online access to the Calf Care curriculum, which provides general information about calf care management. It also gives more detail on assessing the health of the animal, oesophageal feeding, tail vein injections, blood draws and castration. Included is a teacher guide, student materials, assessment tools and presentation slides (approx 4.5 teaching hours).
