Spinal simulator with realistic haptic feedback for training in epidural anaesthesia.

This spinal injection simulator P61 / 1017891 (Light), 1023765 / P61D (Dark) by 3B Scientific offers a realistic representation of a human back to enable the practise of both epidural and spinal injections. The trainer offers very realistic haptic feedback and has been manufactured from high-quality, durable materials.

The manufacturers have worked in close consultation with epidural anaesthesia specialists to create a light compact structure which is intuitive to use and has low operating costs. This trainer can enable medical students to practise epidural anaesthesia using the loss-of-resistance and the hanging drop technique, spinal anaesthesia with realistic resistance of dura and arachnoid matter, either with or without using a cannula.

This spinal injection model can also represent a fluid-filled spinal canal, including realistic outflow rate and the ability to adjust the excess pressure. An epidural catheter can be inserted into the epidural space for extra realism. The model has a closed water system for extra convenience and has been designed to be easy to clean.

Included with this spinal injection simulator is a base body and vertebral bar, one skin, one loss-of-resistance (LOR) insert, one water collection container, one 10cm tube, one spinal canal with connector, two 100ml injections with cap, one spacer ring for injection, one extension tube for the hanging drop technique, one CD with instructions and a carry bag for the kit.

A Geriatric LOR Insert is available for this trainer to simulate conditions of administering spinal injections to elderly patients, and spare skin and normal LOR kits for the Epidural and Spinal Injection Trainer P61 are available to buy online (see replacement parts tab).
