This osteoporosis demonstration model consists of three medially cut lumbar vertebrae with intervertebral discs. A healthy bone structure is represented by the upper vertebra and an osteoporotic bone structure on the middle vertebra. The lower vertebra shows osteoporosis at an advanced stage with crushed roof and basal plate (cod fish vertebra).

The vertebrae models are individually removable from stand for closer inspection. A good value model for GPs, physiotherapists and other professionals to demonstrate the anatomy of the spine and mechanisms of bone degeneration.
