The model is life-size, featuring accurate and palpable anatomical landmarks, such as the apical impulse and pneumothorax. Regions of tenderness will also be palpable in the model, particularly in the appendix, abdomen (upper and lower), ureter and umbilical region, and once palpated the manikin will sound the voice of pain.
High quality, realistic materials were used in the manufacturing of the manikin, to mimic real skin and it comes with an electric monitor with an LCD screen display, to further enhance the learning experience. Students will gain confidence in performing core clinical skills including cardiac and lung percussion, palpation, and auscultation.
