This bovine simulator by Erler Zimmer represents the rear end of a female breeding cow. This Advanced Simulator for Artificial Insemination (AI) of the Cow allows veterinary students to observe the examination of the rectum as well as the palpation manipulation that is carried out during the insemination process.
The female cow simulator has been built on a base with easy-to-move casters. This simulation cow has been designed for veterinary training purposes and contains a complete artificial reproductive system, a uterus in the oestrus and a handpiece.
In addition to the above, this bovine AI simulator has a full-sized interchangeable reproductive system. The simulator has accurate anatomical structures, has been mounted in the correct anatomical position and is suspended in the pelvic cavity, imitating a natural suspension which is made of flexible materials. These flexible materials offer a realistic sensation of living tissue - this can be experienced on the external elements such as the vulva, and internal elements like the cervix. The internal organs of this AI cow model can be heated to a natural temperature.
