The Advanced Venepuncture and Injection Arm with Circulation Pump presents a training arm containing an elaborate 8-line vascular system, designed to facilitate advanced practice in IV therapy, phlebotomy, intramuscular, and intradermal injections. Designed for the training of medical, nursing, and other healthcare students.
The 8-line vascular system affords users the capacity to employ both primary and secondary sites for venepuncture, encompassing tasks such as IV setup and the application of IV catheters.
Setting up the venous system is a simple task and relies on a single external fluid bag to simultaneously provide artificial blood to all the veins. The model has been designed to represent injectable metacarpal, digital, and thumb veins. The antecubital fossa includes all of the relevant veins, including the median cephalic, median basilica, and median cubital veins.
Intramuscular injections can be administered in the deltoid muscle, whilst intradermal injection sites are available in the upper arm.
Enveloped in soft, lifelike skin, the training arm s design intricately replicates genuine tactile qualities, further enhanced by the presence of natural bony landmarks for added realism. As students administer intradermal injections with distilled water, distinct welts emerge at specific points on the model s skin. The model is furnished with an integrated IV arm pump that facilitates an uninterrupted semi-close circulation of blood.
