With this auscultation trainer by Realityworks, students will be able to identify auscultation sites for the heart, lungs, and abdomen, demonstrate the correct pattern for auscultation and recognise abnormal cardiac, respiratory, and abdominal sounds.
The clear torso visually displays all of the major organs, making for simple and easy auscultation site identification. The training aid consists of three components: the torso, RealityScope, and a smart device with an app.
Connect the RealityScope to any stethoscope and place it over the corresponding auscultation site to hear heart, lung and bowel sounds. Apply accurate pressure over a particular auscultation site for the sounds to play.
Tailor practice sessions by using the smart device and app. The auscultation app is programmed with over 40 scenarios and 21 sounds. Each sound is a real-life recording, engineered to sound correct through the stethoscope.
As an additional extra with the skin overlay on the torso, medical students can also practice rib palpation.
