The Baby-care Manikins are highly realistic neonate replicas crafted from a special synthetic material that mimics the natural feel of skin. They are designed to replicate the weight and anatomical features of a real neonate, including palpable anterior and posterior fontanels, acuate, and sagittal sutures, and a movable vertebral column and testicles. The heads of the manikins tilt backward if not held correctly. They also allow for the practice of various medical procedures, such as aspiration of the nasal and oral cavities, and stomach, and measuring body temperature within the 5 cm deep anal canal.
The manikins are stitch-free, ensuring they are watertight and suitable for bathing practice. They include removable residual umbilical cords for demonstrating and practicing umbilical care. The flexible arms and legs make them suitable for demonstrating physiotherapeutic exercises like Vojta and Bobath techniques.
