Circle of Willis
This 3D-printed model illustrates the intracranial arteries supplying the brain in relation to the lower portions of the viscero- and neurocranium. It is generated through precise segmentation of angiographic data, depicting the paired vertebral arteries entering the cranial cavity via the foramen magnum and merging to create the basilar artery. The model further displays the division of the basilar artery into its terminal posterior cerebral arteries, with the superior cerebellar arteries originating just before this bifurcation.
Venous Circulation
This 3D-printed model, based on angiographic data, highlights the dural venous sinus network revealed during the late phase of contrast medium circulation. While most sinuses are visible, clarity may be limited for some structures. The model showcases the drainage network of dural veins toward the superior sagittal sinus, connecting to the great cerebral vein, inferior sagittal sinus, straight sinus, and the confluence of sinuses. Dural veins also contribute to the left and right transverse sinuses, while the sigmoid sinuses exit at the jugular foramen, forming the internal jugular vein.
