This hinged 4 piece bronchus model illustrates the effects of asthma and chronic bronchitis on the bronchus tissue. The four states included are normal bronchus, hypersecretion of mucous, smooth muscle spasm and swelling with lymphoid aggregations.

Each bronchus stage is designed to rotate on a hinge pin for easy examination. The anatomical features of the bronchus detailed by the model and featured on the display card include spiraling smooth muscles, fibro-elastic connective tissue, mucus glands and plug, epithelial layers of the bronchus, and cartilage.

The bronchus model is ideal for demonstration of the effects of these common respiratory conditions.
