Discover the Casualty Evacuation Manikin, a manikin specifically designed for use in the fire fighter recruitment and annual fitness test, as specified by the Chief Fire Officers Association. The manikin is ideal for those training to become Fire Fighters or personnel of emergency medical services.

Supplied with the manikin are leg protectors, increasing the resilience of the outer material to the drag test element of fire fighter challenges and competitions. The casualty drag test assesses an individuals upper and lower body strength, as well as coordination, and involves dragging a 55kg dummy around a course. Although 55kg is the specified weight for the UK Fire & Rescue services, the manikin is versatile and can be altered to the requirements of the user or for varying difficulty levels.

The manikin is durable and made of heavy-duty polyester that is non-flammable and waterproof, therefore suitable for wet and foul scenarios, including chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defence (CBRN defence). It is constructed using the the same material used in the production of police ballistic/stab vests, making it durable and tough enough to withstand being buried under heavy objects or dropped from height without damage.

Additionally, the manikin gives an anatomically correct weight distribution, to ensure an effective and realistic training and give the ??feel of an unconscious person. The soft body joints eliminate the risk of pinch welts and bruising, which can happen when using plastic bodied manikins.

The Casualty Evacuation Manikin is an essential addition to the training of fire services and used, not only by the UK Fire Service, but by equivalent organisations across North & South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. It should be noted that, although the manikin can tolerate extreme conditions, it is not suited for use in temperatures above 100 degrees or in deep water.
