One half of the jaw model shows 8 healthy teeth and gums, and the opposite side of the jaw showing the following dental diseases:

- Periodontitis
- Inflammation of the root
- Fissure, approximal and smooth surface caries.
Roots, vessels and nerves can be exposed when part of the front bone segment is extracted. The inner tooth is visible when molars are segmented length-ways.
