An exhaustive training aid providing everything needed for examining and diagnosing conditions of the ear.

The Ear Examination Training Model allows you to practice the skills needed for examining the human ear using visual cues, correctly diagnosing common diseases, cleaning the ear canal, removing a foreign body and performing a myringotomy with ear tube insertion all with one simple trainer.

The realistic left and right ears teach diagnostic and procedural techniques and can be detached for maintenance and storage. For added realism the middle ear can be filled with various fluids, the consistency and colour of which can be controlled by the instructor. The trainer also features nine diagnostic cartidges with full colour photos showing:
  • Normal tympanic membrane
  • Mucoid otitis media
  • Serous otitis media with an air-fluid level
  • Chronic otitis media with small and large tympanic membrane perforations
  • Two views of attic cholesteatoma
  • Atelectatic middle ear otitis
  • Tympanic sclerosis
The Diagnostic and Procedural Ear Trainer includes two ears, approximately 100 pre-cut eardrums, specially formulated ear wax, three standard middle ear cartridge with syringe, adjustable stand and a hard carry case. Does not include otoscope, ventilation tubes or surgical instruments. Replacement ears (LF01089), ear drums (LF01091), diagnostic cartridges (LF01086) and ear wax (LF01092) are available, please contact us to purchase.
