Pelvis with magnetically detachable muscles for study of the anatomy of the female pelvic floor.
This pelvic floor model features a pelvis with removable muscles so that the anatomy of the female pelvic floor can be properly studied. The following muscles can be removed:
- Sphincters of the urogenital and digestive tract (external anal and urethral sphincters and bulbospongiosus muscle)
- Urogenital diaphragm (the deep transverse perineum, the superficial transverse of perineum and ischiocavernosus muscle)
- Pelvic diaphragm (levator ani muscle including puborectalis, pubococcygeus and iliococcygeus muscles)
- Coccygeus muscle (both sides)
- Piriformis muscle (both sides)
- Obturatorius internus muscle (both sides)
The model also includes two halves of the pelvis and the sacrum. The models are held together by magnets for easy study of the pelvic floor layers. This model would be an ideal educational aid in teaching pelvic floor exercises, for ante- or post-natal classes or for anatomical study.
