This basic enlarged ear model is 5 times life-size and ideal for group study of the basic anatomy of the ear. This giant ear model features the external ear, middle ear, and inner ear, with the individual parts of the ear held together with metal pins, allowing gradual dissection to reveal the detail of the deep anatomy.
The following anatomical features can be demonstrated:
- External ear: shape of the auricle and the primary features of the external auditory meatus.
- Middle ear: tympanic membrane, three auditory ossicles (hammer, anvil, stirrup) and eustachian tube.
- Internal ear: vestibule, cochlea and 3 semi-circular canals of the osseous labyrinth.
The ear anatomy model comes with a stand included. A good value model for teaching science and human biology in schools.
