Discover the HAL Adult Heart and Lung Sounds Skills Trainer, an adult torso manikin designed to aid the teaching of site-specific heart and lung auscultation skills. Beneficial for use by medical students, nursing students and healthcare professionals.
To enable auscultation, the manikin uses seamless simulation technology that simulates various heart and breath sounds, hidden within the stethoscope bell itself. The user can place the bell against the simulator s skin in the desired anterior or posterior position and a corresponding sound can be emitted. The sound can be heard through the stethoscope and/or connected to an external speaker.
The adult heart and lung sounds manikin features:
- A full-size adult torso with palpable anatomical landmarks
- The appropriate heart or lung sound as the stethoscope is moved across the front and back of the manikin torso
- A sensor network that has been hidden beneath the skin
- A virtual stethoscope with multiple heart and lung sounds
- An external speaker can be connected to enable a class to hear the relevant sounds
- Reference key card that indicates the auscultatory sites and the sounds available
- A set of optional loudspeakers is also included with the set
