A simulator representing a six month old infant for training in intraosseous infusion procedures.
The Intraosseous Infusion Training Model allows you to demonstrate and simulate the intraosseous infusion procedure. This procedure has proven difficult to simulate in a classroom setting in the past but this gives students a lifelike, realistic opportunity to learn and practice, eliminating the need for substitutes such as chicken bones. PALS programmes will find this teaching aid a convenient and sanitary alternative. The simulator also features replacable bones and skins which can potentially extend the life span indefinately making this a cost effective option. Use a 15-gauge needle during simulation. The bones used in the model have been designed with four sides, with each side having the ability to be punctured several times. There are also three palpable landmarks, including patella, tibia and tibial tuberosity located in both legs. Both legs are also designed so that aspiration is possible. The Intraosseous Infusion Simulator represents a six month old infant. Includes 10 replacable bone inserts, two sets of replacement leg skins, two white towelettes, syringe with tubing, blood powder, sealing wax, liquid lubricant, mixing bottle, needle and a hard carrying case. Bone Replacement Kit (LF01109), Skin (LF01110) and Blood (LF01111) also available, please contact us to purchase.
