This life size mammary gland model shows the superficial contours on the left half of the breast, whilst the right half has been sectioned to various depths. In the upper right quarter the superficial tissue has been removed, showing the underlying fat layer and lymphatic vessels. In the lower right quarter, the fat has been removed revealing the milk glands, lactiferous ducts and sinuses.

The mammary gland model clearly demonstrates the supportive ligaments and connective tissue, together with the relative muscles and ribs.
