Presenting the MIKE and MICHELLE One-Year-Old Nursing Care Patient Simulator, a paediatric patient trainer allowing users to practice and develop core nursing care skills. This has been professionally designed for use by medical and nursing students.
The manikin facilitates training in a wide variety of clinical procedures, including CPR, intubation, suctioning, gastric feeding, in addition to intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. It is representative of a full-bodied, one-year-old patient and has articulating joints and soft, lifelike skin.
The manikin further offers the following features:
- Fully articulating head, neck, and jaw, facilitating head tilt/chin lift, jaw thrust and neck extension into the 'sniffing' position.
- An anatomically accurate airway with cricocartilage permitting intubation, suctioning, and the Sellick manoeuvre

The MIKE and MICHELLE One-Year-Old Nursing Care Patient Simulator is an essential addition to practical skills sessions, as it allows students to gain confidence in life-saving clinical procedures. It provides participants with hands-on experience performing basic life support, such as chest compressions and ventilation exercises.
For added realism, the trainer is supplied with a T-shirt and shorts or nappies and a bodysuit (for a newborn patient). A custom nylon carrying bag and instruction manual have also been provided for an enhanced user experience.
