Discover the Obstetric SUSIE Childbirth Skills Trainer Torso, a versatile birthing simulator for training in normal vaginal, breech and vacuum-assisted deliveries, as well as Leopold manoeuvres. It can be used as a tabletop trainer, as well as in hybrid simulation exercises. Suitable for use by medical, nursing and midwifery students.

The trainer features accurate anatomical landmarks of an adult-sized female torso, from the diaphragm down to the quadriceps. The birth canal is flexible with a cervix that dilates, allowing the demonstration of dystocia.

Features of the advanced childbirth clinical skills trainer include:

  • Vacuum Assisted Delivery
    • A smooth skin cap allows for the application of the vacuum mechanism for assisted delivery
    • Pause delivery can be used to show a difficult delivery
  • Normal Vaginal Delivery
    • Allows demonstration of internal rotation, expulsion, and external rotation
    • Prepare the foetus in ROA, LOA, ROP, or LOP and deliver in ROT or LOT
    • The cervix dilates as labour progresses

  • Leopold Manoeuvres
    • The inflatable cushion lifts the foetus for the Leopold manoeuvre

  • Postpartum Activity
