This eye diseases model is five times life-size which makes it an ideal patient educational aid. Model F17 / 1017230 includes a number of simplified representations of the retina and lens which reveal the typical changes caused to a healthy eye by some common diseases, which can effect vision.

Eye pathologies presented by the model include rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, central retinal arterial occusion, central retinal venous occlusion, papilloedema, age-related macular degeneration, papillary changes of glaucoma, hypertensive retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, nuclear cataract, cortical cataract and subcapsular cataract.
