A complete life-size female pelvis model of synthetic bone-like material with a highly detailed pelvic floor, made in the UK. The dissectible pelvic floor model is made of carefully coloured, flexible plastic and comprises the genitalia and associated muscles.
The superior view shows the pelvic floor formed by the pubococcygeus, illiococcygeus and coccygeus muscles supported partially by the internal obturator muscles.
The external genitalia are accompanied by the bulbocavernosus, ischiocavernosus and superficial transverse perineal muscles. Posterior to the central point of the perineum the external anal sphincter converges on to the coccyx. On one side of the pelvic floor model the vestibular bulb and Bartholins gland are visible and part of the inferior fascia has been removed to show a section of the deep transverse perineal muscle.
This pelvis model with pelvic floor model is ideal for detailed anatomy teaching or patient demonstrations. The pelvic model dissects into 5 parts with the individual parts held by pins that can be released for individual study of the muscles.
