New for 2026 and exclusive to AnatomyStuff, the "Rex" Male Dog Catheterisation Simulator is designed for veterinary education and training. This realistic simulator helps users develop the correct technique for catheterising male dogs while providing an authentic representation of the canine urogenital tract.
This canine trainer accurately replicates the anatomical structures of the penis, urethra, os penis, and bladder, with the pelvic region of a medium-sized male dog presented in a lateral position for lifelike practice. One pelvic limb and the tail are movable to simulate clinical positioning during catheterisation procedures. The model includes a silicone body with embedded anatomical structures, a replaceable genital insert with retractable silicone prepuce, an artificial bladder, and a tubing system for fluid flow simulation.
Trainees can practice catheter insertion through the penile urethra, experience realistic resistance during the procedure, and observe simulated urine flow when the catheter is correctly placed. In addition, the integrated paw allows users to develop basic bandaging skills, making the simulator a versatile training tool for veterinary education.
