The Right Kidney & Adrenal Gland Model is a vinyl, plastic replica, which includes an adrenal gland and the beginning of the ureter. It can be swung open to reveal its internal structure. The internal anatomy that becomes visible includes the cortex, medulla, major and minor calyces, renal columns, pelvis, and the branching of the renal artery and vein.

Each of these features are assigned a number for easy identification, and their explanations are provided in a corresponding key. The kidney, which is hinged, can be fully rotated on its hardwood base, or it can be removed for hands-on examination and study.
