Understand and gain confidence and competence in hand-sewn, two-layer bowel closer and anastomosis techniques with the Sim*Bowel Training Kit by Sim Vivo.
Designed to fit securely on a board are two 20cm segments of simulated bowel. The simulated bowel has a 2cm diameter and is made up of three realistic layers, these layers easily hold sutures.
Practice multiple enterotomy closures with the DeBakey forceps, Hegar needle drive, Iris scissors and 40 strands of suture. Create tension on the end-sutures as others are being placed with the Crile clamps, all of which are provided with the Sim*Bowel Training Kit
This module is included in the supplied training guide and outlines suturing techniques. The module is recommended for two students to complete at any one time, allowing for appropriate assistance to be provided.
