Discover the Toddler Firehouse Training Manikin, a realistic toddler-sized manikin used in drills and challenges in the training of Fire Fighters. As the manikin demonstrates a good balance between temperature and abrasion resistance, it is particularly ideal for breathing apparatus (BA) snatch rescue training in fire houses and "hot fire cell" training. The manikin is unique and has the ability to resist temperatures of up to 160 degrees Celsius at floor level and an outstanding 400 degrees Celsius at ceiling level.
It is constructed using the same materials found in Police ballistic/stab vests and reinforced with 38mm Nomex webbing to avoid the material becoming brittle and melting. The replaceable overalls are constructed using a special meta-aramid/para-aramid blend material. This material is in a class of strong synthetic fibres and characterised by excellent heat & flame resistance, high chemical resistance, and low thermal shrinkage. Overall, the manikin is tough and can withstand being buried under concrete or dropped from height, emphasising its durability further.
Additionally, the manikin gives an anatomically correct weight distribution to ensure an effective and realistic training and give the ??feel of an unconscious casualty. The soft body joints eliminate the risk associated with plastic bodied manikins, such as the risk of pinch welts and bruising.
The Toddler Firehouse Training Manikin is an essential addition to fire service training, both nationally and internationally. It should be noted that, although the manikin is non-flammable, it is not suited for direct exposure to naked flames, excessive temperatures or use in deep water. The manikin is versatile and can be purchased in other shapes and sizes to simulate different age ranges (e.g., babies, youths, and adults).
