A training aid for traction application which features adjustable weight settings.
The Traction Splint Trainer 101-031 can be set to correspond to the students body weight, allowing you to gauge how much force is being applied to the 'patients' leg, in line with the rule of "10% of the body weight traction results in adequate relief for, but no further damage to the patient". The weight can be adjusted between 7st to 21st.
The traction training model features a simple to use electrical, push button panel for selection. The trainer comes assembled but requires attachment to a base for training sessions. Once traction has been applied the deformity of the high recedes and splint can be applied (including standard ankle hitch). Please note splint is not provided.
