Skull model A300 / 1020181 shows face musculature ion the right half and boney anatomy on the left. The difference between the face musculature and mastication musculature is indicated by different colour options, designed to enable easy demonstration of the causes of temporomandibular disorders and other dysfunctional disturbances of the TMJ and masticatory muscles.
On the left side of the skull the muscle origins are indicated in red while insertions are marked in blue. Another feature of this model is the movable jaw and flexible musculature enabling demonstration of the rudimentary chewing motion.
The facial muscle model also includes a detatachable cranium and m.masseter muscle which uses magnetic connectors for ease of use. An ideal model for detailed anatomical instruction for physiotherapy and medicine studies, or for patient demonstration.
