The model is designed for teaching students how to confidently carry out key procedures on rodents, including:
- Tail amputation: the tail of the manikin is fully detachable and can be conveniently disposed of
- Venepuncture and IV fluids: IV access can be gained at the caudal vein site
- Ear-tagging procedures: the model has tiny replaceable ears
The model is fully articulating and extremely realistic. The head, feet and limbs all move in a realistic manner and provide life-like resistance.
Squeekums, the lab rat simulator comes with its own protective case, IV accessories, artificial blood and instructions.
