Made from a unique material that allows the application and easy removal of dressings the Stan Stage 4 Pressure Injury Model is a great medical training tool for students to practice managing pressure wounds.

This model displays a large sacral stage 4 pressure injury, stage 3 pressure injury with subcutaneous fat and granulation tissue, eschar, subcutaneous fat, undermining, tunnelling, slough, and exposed bone with osteomyelitis, making it a great patient simulation training tool. This medical training tool is ideal for practising the correct dressing techniques and preparation of large wounds, it can also be used with a negative pressure wound therapy device.

The Stage 3 & 4 pressure wounds have been carefully positioned so that each one can be individually dressed, or a "bridging" dressing can be applied to cover the two. This wound care training model also allows for easy removal of dressings, meaning no adhesive residue will be left. The VATA Stan Stage 4 Pressure Injury Model can also be used to demonstrate wound cleansing, classification and staging, as well as the measurement of wounds.

Ideal for practising treatment on a variety of chronic and acute wound types, including pressure injuries, diabetic wounds, abdominal wounds, trauma wounds, flaps and grafts.

Features of the VATA Stan Stage 4 Pressure Injury Model include:

  • Small, lightweight, and easy to transport.
  • Stage 3 and Stage 4 pressure injuries.
  • Wounds can be dressed individually or a ??bridging ? dressing can be applied to cover both.
  • Available in both light and dark skin tones.

For life-like patient simulation, each wound has been hand-painted onto the model. This VATA model enables medical students to visualise and understand the differences in pressure wounds. Once the finding from the wounds have been determined and understood, then medical students can discuss and create the relevant treatment plan required, enabling high-quality patient care to be delivered.
