Realistic Geriatric & Dementia Care Training Tools for Universities, The NHS & Care Homes

We recently hosted a free Geriatric Care Webinar in collaboration with Realityworks, whose innovative training products are exclusively distributed in the UK by AnatomyStuff.

The session was tailored for NHS professionals, care home staff, elderly care trainers, and geriatric/dementia care nurses from both the NHS and private institutions.

This insightful session showcased the wide range of geriatric and dementia training products available through AnatomyStuff, with a strong focus on practical tools designed to enhance elderly care training in both educational and professional settings.

We explored some of the most impactful  Realityworks products for geriatric care training. These products included:

• RealCare Geriatric Simulator
• Geriatric Sensory Impairment Kit
• Dementia Simulation Experience
• COPD and Mobility Challenges Simulation
• Hemiplegia Simulator

Each product was explained in detail giving attendees a chance to find out how they support realistic, engaging training for issues commonly faced in elderly and dementia care.

The webinar also featured a live Q&A session, where attendees could ask about specific product features, implementation ideas, and the ordering process. Some of the questions covered included:

Does the RealCare Geriatric Simulator and Dementia Simulation Experience complement each other?

They are very complimentary, the Geriatric Simulator covers visual and physical impairments specific to ageing. So the lessons with the simulator would cover things like glaucoma and cataracts, those visual impairments and what they are/how they feel,

But then the Dementia Simulator is a wonderful complement. because you learn about five different types of dementia, what they are and how to care for people with dementia.

So you go from the physical visual challenges in more of a general sense to specific dementia
