The RealCare Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Baby is a non-electric female infant simulator which demonstrates the potential affects of alcohol consumption by the mother on the unborn child. The alcohol-affected simulator displays Sentinel Facial features such as a small gestational size; small head with widely set eyes; low nasal bridge; bigger, lower ears; shorter nose and smaller chin; flattened mid-face and curved fingers and joints. The model comes with a nappy, curriculum (which can be found within the supplied quick start guide) and 'An Ounce of Prevention' DVD.
The FASD baby is a realistic and powerful educational tool for use in alcohol and drug abuse prevention programmes and family services, or by antenatal and childcare professionals. Skin tones light and medium are available.
