The resource is great and inline with what I am teaching for my groups at the minute. Thank you very much for sharing.

The RealCare Baby programme has helped improve the delivery of their courses by giving an interactive approach to their lessons rather than just teaching theory and care of babies. We recommend the programme to anyone who runs early years courses.

We introduced the RealCare Baby Program to instil responsibility, empathy, and practical skills in learners. By simulating the demands of infant care, it prepares them for real-life challenges and promotes a deeper understanding of looking after babies, fostering holistic development beyond traditional academics.

      Child Care Experience Programme

Ever thought of creating a pop-up nursery right in your classroom? How about one where students take on the responsibility of caring for multiple infants of varying ages, just like they would in a real childcare role.

This comprehensive programme provides an immersive, hands-on experience of what it is like to care for small children in a nursery setting. It is designed for students in early childhood education and practical childcare skills training to develop all the skills that they need for a career within the childcare sector.

      What skills will students develop?

Prioritising Care: Learn to handle multiple infants needing attention simultaneously.

Real-World Documentation: Practice clocking in and out of shifts and maintaining reports similar to those shared with parents.

Essential Caregiving: Gain experience in tasks like feeding, changing, burping, soothing, and responding to first aid scenarios. These are triggered by the infant simulators crying, with auto-cues indicating when the task is successfully completed.

Life-Saving Skills: The 3-month-old infant simulator doubles as a CPR trainer, providing real-time feedback, while the 9-month-old simulator serves as a choking simulator for hands-on training in dislodging an object from an infant’s airway.
