Dementia Simulation Experience
The Dementia Simulation Experience is an interactive training tool designed to help caregivers, healthcare professionals, and families understand the challenges of dementia. Participants experience common symptoms like confusion, anxiety, and disorientation using specialised glasses, gloves, and audio scenarios that mimic sensory impairments.
This hands-on approach builds empathy, enhances communication, and improves caregiving skills. Covering five types of dementia—Alzheimer’s, Lewy body, frontotemporal, vascular, and mixed dementia—it provides valuable insight into the daily struggles faced by those living with the condition.
