Introducing the Simple SIMON Patient Care Simulator, a full-body, adult-sized male patient manikin designed for simulation-based training of general nursing clinical procedures. This is a valuable tool for both medical and nursing students, as well as those in the healthcare profession.

The manikin features movable joints at the head, jaw, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles, in addition to soft realistic skin on the face, hands, and feet.

The patient simulator has been professionally designed for the training of critical basic nursing skills, such as:

  • Oral and denture hygiene (has a moveable jaw with removable upper and lower dentures)
  • Ophthalmic exercises (eye lids can be opened or closed)
  • Ear irrigation and application of otic drops in the ear canal
  • Intramuscular injection into the deltoids, quadriceps, and upper gluteal region
  • General nursing care skills, e.g., bathing and bandaging
  • Tracheostomy tube placement and airway management
  • Realistic male genitalia (note: the manikin does not permit catheterisation procedures)
  • Surgical draping

The Simple SIMON Patient Care Simulator supports supine and sitting positions, permitting the reproduction of various patient scenarios. This will enable users and students to gain confidence in a wide range of clinical skills, in a relaxed environment. The manikin has the ability to detach at the waist for easy storage and transport.
