The Equine Nasogastric & Venipuncture Simulator with IM Injection is equipped with a replica nasal passageway that accurately simulates anatomical structures, allowing students to practice intubation tube insertion via the oesophagus. The well-rendered internal anatomy provides a visual reference site on the left side of the neck, enabling students to confirm tube placement in the oesophagus before advancing it into the stomach.
The model's versatility extends to various procedures, including smell and suction tests for indicating proper tube placement in the stomach. Additionally, students can simulate lavage techniques and administer fluids. The jugular venipuncture feature, with palpable veins, facilitates hands-on practice with a recommended 20-22 gauge needle for simulation.
The model's IM site is designed to withstand multiple punctures and accept fluid injections. The soft silicone head, complete with flexible ears and detailed anatomy, allows students to locate facial injection sites and even accommodates a bit and bridle. Ideal for equine and veterinary clinical skills training.
