The model is the upper torso of an adult and features precise anatomical structures, particularly the pharynx and larynx, with a soft tongue that can be pulled out for examination. Additionally, a cancer lesion of approximately 2cm can be identified and examined on the epiglottis.
Aside from the direct visualisation of these structures, students will learn how to carry out laryngoscopy procedures. The electronic monitor, which comes with a light indicator, further compliments the model, and enables students to know whether they are performing these procedures quickly.
The Pharynx and Larynx Examination Model is an essential addition to medical education, as it can aid in the preparation for medical exams and OSCE preparations.
