Protect your skin from harmful UV rays by wearing sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Apply it frequently every two hours or more if you are swimming or sweating.
Use insect repellent to avoid mosquito and tick bites, and check for ticks after spending time outdoors. Remember to pack repellent when travelling abroad.
Never swim alone, and always supervise children in or near water. Wear life jackets when boating and be aware of potential hazards such as rip currents.
The sun emits ultraviolet (UV) rays, which can damage skin cells. Many cases
of skin cancer result from prolonged sun exposure. Wearing suncream is
essential, and you can also wear a hat and long-sleeved clothing for extra
