Discover the Adult Duty Plus Training Manikin, an enhanced version of the Duty Range Manikin for the training of procedures carried out in emergency rescue scenarios. The manikin is particularly ideal for the use of various emergency rescue professionals including UK Fire & Rescue Services, The British Ministry of Defence, police teams, ambulance/EMS/Hart teams, and equivalent organisations internationally.

The manikin has been specially designed for the simulation of the following training scenarios:

• Confined Space Training
• Urban Search & Rescue
• Road Traffic Collision (RTC) extrication exercises
• Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) handling exercises

In comparison to the Duty Range Manikin, there is extra rigidity built into the neck, chest, and torso, so the manikin acts more like a ‘conscious casualty’ and can be more upright in these regions. Flopping of the head is prevented with a plastic spine and the general torso is kept upright with a closed cell foam in the back and polypropylene strips which run to the waist/hip. This also enables flexibility of the manikin.

To ensure an effective and realistic training, the weight distribution of the manikin is anatomically correct. The optional use of a face mask, wig and shoutbox feature for a personalised message, adds to the realism. Proper casualty care can be promoted with the fitting of an immobilisation/extrication collar around the neck of the manikin.

The manikin is constructed using the same flame-retardant material which is used in Police ballistic/stab vests. This makes it durable and tough enough to withstand being buried under heavy objects or dropped from height without damage. The manikin is made of heavy-duty polyester that is waterproof, therefore are suitable for wet and foul scenarios, including chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defence (CBRN defence). It should be noted that although it is durable, it should not be used in temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius, flashover scenarios or in water.
