Introducing the ECMO Trainer Professional MK2, an innovative training tool that empowers users to develop expertise in Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Suitable for training medical students and healthcare professionals.  

Displayed on this training model is arterial and venous circulation, both effectively controlled by automated pumps that allow for precise adjustment of flow volume and pulsating rate.  

The simulator offers the ability to replicate a real patient, encompassing all potential scenarios that may occur during the procedure. Moreover, it provides an opportunity for users to practice puncture and cannulation techniques with real materials and instruments.

The system also offers compatibility with common catheter types, due to the arteries of the lumen measuring 8 mm and veins measuring 10 mm in width. The larger diameters mean that cannulas leave significant puncture holes following withdrawal. To address this, the simulator is equipped with an integrated tube management system that allows rapid replacement of vessel tubes, minimising downtime during training.

Constructed from ultrasound-compatible material, the puncture pads are situated at the left and right femoral puncture sites, as well as at the jugular puncture site. As a result, ultrasound guidance can be effectively employed to monitor the needle’s progress until it successfully penetrates the vessel tube.

In addition, the trainer is engineered to ensure seamless integration with an authentic ECMO machine, allowing for the simulation of precise fluid volumes for immersive and true-to-life operational simulation.

Aside from training in the use of an ECMO machine, the trainer has contact points for 4-lead ECG. The contact points can be connected to an ECG simulator (not included in this package).

Beyond its primary purpose of training individuals in ECMO machine operation, the trainer includes designated contact points for a 4-lead ECG. These contact points can be connected to an external ECG simulator (not provided within this package), permitting training of individuals in the reading of electrocardiograms.

With its wide range of clinical skill training capabilities, the ECMO Trainer Professional MK2 is an indispensable resource in medical education, equipping students with the necessary expertise for performing life-saving procedures. The tubing reservoirs are discretely integrated into the base of the model and the base also serves as the lower part of the transport case, for ease of transportation. The water reservoir and pump system are separate components that can be effortlessly linked to the trainer using quick lock connectors.
