The pump contains a blood reservoir capable of holding an impressive 3 litres of arterial blood. This blood can be simultaneously pumped into 4 of the different wound moulages, ensuring long-lasting and continuous training scenarios.
The pumping system is powered by a battery pack and remotely operated through a Bluetooth device, allowing trainers to precisely control the pulse rate and flow of blood. This highly advanced feature allows trainers to adapt the scenario from afar as they wish.
Trainers can use the pump and wound moulages to guide sessions about management of major haemorrhage and wound care. Additionally, due to the Bluetooth control, trainers can simulate a deteriorating patient with vital signs such as a hypotension and bradycardia to prompt students to escalate management.
The pump comes in the form of an adapted backpack, making it unnoticeable. This allows it to carefully and realistically blend into simulated training scenarios.
Moreover, the reservoir bag has an extra large opening so trainers can quickly and easily remove the blood and rinse the bag at the end of sessions.
