Introducing the Five-Year-Old CPR and Trauma Care Simulator, a full-sized, anatomically correct representation of a five-year-old child. This is the ideal training tool for use by medical and nursing students, in addition to healthcare professionals in the paediatric field.

The trainer facilitates the teaching and practice of basic life support procedures including CPR, ventilation, intramuscular injection, and trauma care. Observable on the manikin are realistic anatomical structures with a removable chest cavity to permit viewing of the lungs and heart.

The multi-purpose child CPR trainer also offers the following features:

• A fully articulated head & jaw, which features teeth and a tongue
• Disposable airways for hygienic mouth-to-mouth ventilation
• Blocked airway when the head is tilted forward
• Accessible chest cavity which includes a moulded ribcage, lungs, and heart
• Realistic chest rises can be observed during ventilation (bag valve mask and mouth-to-mouth ventilation procedures)
• Includes multiple arterial pulse sites, e.g., carotid, femoral and brachial
• Realistic feel skin and moulded hair
• Eyes are situated in realistic eye sockets and can be opened and closed for ophthalmic purposes
• Features one normal eye and one dilated eye
• Intramuscular (IM) injection sites at the deltoids and quadriceps
• Jointed elbows, wrists, knees and ankles
• Lifelike hands, feet, fingers, and toes

Along with the Five-Year-Old CPR and Trauma Care Simulator, a carrying bag is included so that the manikin can be transported easily. It can also be bent at the waist for ease of storage.
