The MyBodyBoard Puberty for Boys is aimed at teachers and consists of a magnetic board and magnetic pack with 42 different picture magnets. Teachers can engage with individual students and groups to discuss the changes experienced by boys during puberty. Students choose their magnets and then place them on an appropriate place on the My BodyBoard.. A full lesson plan and pop lock folder is included with each pack, making this the ideal tool for PSHE classes.
MyBodyBoard for teaching about puberty in boys helps teachers to cover the following topics:
Tanner Stages (stages of development of sexual organs and the body) / Anatomy of Reproductive Organ Development / Sperm / Penis Erection / Change from Boy To Man / Increased Hair Growth over Body / Chest Hair Growth / Underarm Hair Growth / Body Odour - Sweating / Managing Body Odour / Deepening of Voice / Adam's Apple / Brain / Hormones during Puberty / Confusing Emotions / Arguing / Personal Grooming / Distance from Parents / Butterflies in the Stomach / Romantic relationships / Increased appetite / Bullying / Changes to the face / Facial hair / Razor / Shaving / Acne / Growing pains / Muscle Development / Broadening of shoulders
Face magnets from different ethnic backgrounds can be selected by the audience to personalise their board. The pack also includes three blank magnets allowing the teacher to add any puberty related issues that come up during the session.
The board can be fastened to the wall as a longterm display or placed on one of MyBodyBoard's telescopic easels. My BodyBoards are designed to be visually appealing and large enough to set up as a display for use as an interactive tool for an interesting lesson.
