The Preemie Baby simulates a pre-term baby born at 30 weeks. This baby is designed to help people to understand the medical problems and unique challenge that is often present with a permature birth. This non-electronic, anatomically correct baby comes with cloth nappy and blanket, and is ideal for training and educating students, caregivers and expectant parents.
In addition to the baby simulator, the package also comes with online access to the Understanding Premature Infants curriculum which can be found within the supplied quick start guide. It covers topics such as; how pre-term birth can occur, ways to avoid early birth, the potential size and physical development of a premature infant and how to care for them. Included is a teacher guide, student materials, survey & assessment tools and presentation slides (approx. 1-2 teaching hours).
